You’ll find endless fresh turns that will rock your world at Murray Ridge in Fort St. James, B.C. The bonus is there are no lift lines and by the end of the day your legs will be pumping from all the vertical. Trust that those snowy stashes aren’t going anywhere but be sure to leave early from home to get as many fresh tracks in as possible. This is the winter to seize the moment.

You won’t be disappointed with the groomers either. The run that goes right to the lodge door is pretty sweet, making it easy to pop in for lunch or après ski. We definitely recommend the poutine for fueling the rest of your day on the slopes.

The scenery is beautiful with stands of trees encompassing the ridge. And, if you’re a glade skier, you’ll be in your glory with the prime conditions on Zeek’s Ridge. The endless, fresh pow turns will have you grinning from tree to tree.

Richard Haslinger is the man who got the wheels turning at Murray Ridge in the ‘70s. He was a special person who brought the local community together to volunteer and donate their time to build the resort.

Without Haslinger’s hard work and dedication, the ridge wouldn’t be where it is today. Unfortunately, he passed away this summer, but his legacy carries on throughout the community, and his contributions are remembered by many.

The views of the lakes atop Murray Ridge will leave you awe-struck. And the vast landscapes will inspired to seek out more adventures, not just in winter, but in every season The surrounding region is a playground for all kinds of outdoor activities.
